The Sound of Music is a musical film set in Austria just before World War II. It follows Maria, a free-spirited novice nun, who is sent to be the governess for the seven children of Captain Georg von Trapp, a widowed naval officer. Initially struggling to connect with the children, Maria brings joy and music into their lives, teaching them to sing and helping them rediscover happiness. As she and Captain von Trapp grow closer, they face challenges from the impending Nazi occupation. Ultimately, the film is a heartwarming tale of love, family, and courage against adversity, underscored by iconic songs like "Do-Re-Mi" and "My Favorite Things."
